The Frist Center has consistently brought exhibits and events offering an in-depth look into the cultural significance of sartorial arts — 2010’s The Golden Age of Couture, the 2012 lecture with fashion icons Grace Coddington and Karen Elson — and Italian Style: Fashion Since 1945 is sure to be another crowd-pleaser for fashionistas and art enthusiasts alike. Exploring the birth and growth of the unrivaled Italian fashion industry from post World War II to the present day, the exhibition draws from more than 40 collections and features nearly 100 pieces from Valentino, Versace, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Giorgio Armani, Pucci and more.
