When Is a Weed Actually Good Food? Wild Edibles Discussed at 'A Place at the Table' Event

[image-1]Last week, I had the pleasure of attending A Place at the Table, the weekly series hosted by chef Martha Stamps at West End United Methodist Church. The event usually involves dinner (three courses plus beverages) and a film, but frequently features a speaker, and last week, local food advocate Alan Powell was on hand to talk about the area’s edible plants growing wild all around us.
