Best Example for Nashville Film

Writers' Choice

It wasn’t just that Stoker was great fun — a stylish hothouse thriller that played kinky games with mainstream audiences’ expectations. But it also brought attention to our film industry, pumped dollars into the local economy and helped spread the word by luring a world-class director here in Cannes Grand Prix winner Park Chan-wook. It was also a testament to Nashville film’s queen bee/illest diva Nicole Kidman using her star power to employ many of the Tennessee film industry’s best and brightest. (Extra credit for the Harmony Korine cameo — as a teacher at his alma mater Hillsboro High, no less.) It was awesome — and let’s see it happen again.
