Back in the heart of the city, just shy of its 20th year, the Scene-sponsored Music City institution Movies in the Park brings together some of our favorite things: free movies, local parks, outdoor entertainment, food trucks, and families sprawled on picnic blankets. And tonight's opening night is on.

For the first time, the action shifts to Elmington Park just off I-440 at West End, where at dusk every Thursday night in June the vast green acreage outside West End Middle will turn into Nashville's biggest movie theater — and we reiterate that the films are free. What's their name? We can't tell you (awwww). But we can drop plenty of hints.
