Big news on the biscuit front! Karl and Sarah Worley have announced that they will be opening Biscuit Love Brunch, a new restaurant at 316 11th Ave. S. The venture is a partnership with Fresh Hospitality, a investment group with a portfolio of restaurants that includes local operations like Jim 'n Nick's BBQ, Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint, Taziki's Cafe and Padrino's Pops.
Fresh Hospitality projects traditionally focus on scratch-made foods, and Biscuit Love Brunch shouldn't be any different. Here's how the Worleys describe their new direction:
At Biscuit Love, A Brunch Place Born in the South, you can expect to see a full service brunch restaurant with a continued focus on fresh and locally sourced ingredients along with brunch cocktails and a selection of craft beer. So as not to abandon their food truck tradition, you will see some playful additions including a grab and go pastry counter, a late-night menu on the weekends, and John’s Ham Bar, which will highlight country ham from throughout the region paired with beaten biscuits, a tradition taught to Karl by the beloved John Egerton.
With a projected opening this fall, the team from Biscuit Love is excited to grow their brand while continuing to highlight the star of the truck, the biscuits. Follow along with progress on the restaurant in the Gulch on Twitter or Instagram @BiscuitLoveNash.
Just vowing to keep Egerton's beaten biscuit tradition alive is reason enough to get excited about Biscuit Love Brunch. The fact that the Worleys are involved makes me positively giddy!
