As the oldest operating registered distillery in America, Jack Daniel's is a landmark by any measure. This year, they are embracing that status by launching what they call the Jack Daniel's Live at the Landmark Concert Series
featuring the Old 97s, a popular alt-country band out of Dallas. The tour has taken the band and the brand to national landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, U.S.S. Midway
aircraft carrier in San Diego, Gateway Arch in St. Louis, the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles and the Old U.S. Mint in New Orleans.
They're ending up the road trip at the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg on Saturday, May 17. The opening act for the Old 97s will be Nashville band Striking Matches, fresh off a gig at SXSW in Austin.
Tickets for the show are free, but are available only through a sweepstakes at jdliveatthelandmark.com until April 28, so get busy this weekend if you want to attend. Note: All entrants must be at least 21 years old.
