Earlier this summer, I told you about Lisa Mays' paella party at Natchez Hills Vineyard, and by all accounts the event was a smashing success. Now Jim and Karen Odom, the owners of this quaint little winery, have planned another spicy event and want to show off their digs (located in Hampshire, Tenn. — in Maury County about an hour from Nashville).

This Sunday, Oct. 6, the Odoms are throwing a Shrimp Creole Party starting at 3 in the afternoon. For $20, you'll get a demostration of Creole cooking, a heaping helping of spicy shrimp and other appetizers, winery tours and tastings and live music to keep les bon temps roulering. The food is courtesy of chef Randy Landry, who grew up in New Orleans and has been cooking professionally for more than two decades.

If this sounds like a fun way to pass a Sunday, call (931) 285-2500 or go to natchezhills.com to make a reservation.
