Porta Via Italian Kitchen Now Open Sundays at Both Locations

I get it, I really do. Even restaurateurs need a day off, but it never fails that I have a hankering for a particular restaurant when it’s closed. I want Vietnamese on Tuesdays, when Miss Saigon is closed. And just about anything on Mondays, when many restaurants are closed. Sunday — particularly for dinner — is also a popular day for restaurants to rest; I recently learned this when a friend was asking about where to take a visiting guest on a Sunday. Every place I suggested was closed on Sunday evening.

Up until now, Porta Via Italian Kitchen has been one of those restaurants closed on Sundays. But due to popular demand (multiple requests from customers), the restaurants’ owners have decided to add Sunday hours. Beginning this weekend, both locations will be open on Sundays from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. This is very good news for fans of their pizza and pasta (and there are a lot of us), particularly those who need (or want) gluten-free Italian food. And it's a great idea on Porta Via's part to plan their first open Sunday on Easter, since it’s traditionally a busy day during the after-church hours.
