Brunch is now served Friday through Sunday, and they've introduced Wednesday Breakfast Club, offering businesspeople a high-end breakfast buffet and an opportunity to network. It's $8.50 and includes homemade muffins and quiche, lots of fresh fruit, eggs, grits and turkey bacon and sausage.
In addition, the Carpenters will offer a special Valentine's brunch Feb. 12-13, and Jennifer, who's the chef, has come up with an alluring idea: red velvet pancakes. "I finally perfected the recipe," she says with relish. They're still under wraps, but just the idea of pancakes with the deep chocolate-and-sour-cream richness of a red velvet cake is enough to make a person swoon. If the pancakes prove popular, she may offer them throughout February.
In a nice stroke of timing, the Garden Brunch Cafe is today's featured value on The Big Deal Nashville, as $15 buys a $30 coupon. We named them our "Best Unsung Brunch" in last year's Best of Nashville issue. "Their freshly squeezed juices and quality hot sauce (drizzled on their flaky, full potatoes) are a perfect balance of flavors," we wrote, "and their summer peach pancake plate is like breakfast and dessert decided to have a party and invited you along."
